This project is one of the research contents of the national key research and development program "research and application of key technologies for improving the performance of building envelope materials". The project is led by China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., led by the project chief, and led by Professor Zhang Xiong of Tongji University. The kick-off meeting of the project was held in Yangpu District, Shanghai on September 29, 2016.

This research and development project is based on the development of green building materials, focusing on the performance improvement of building envelope materials, carrying out in-depth research on key technologies, aiming to improve the green and industrial level of building envelope materials, and solve the scientific design theory of safety and durability of envelope materials, the improvement of thermal performance, and the optimization of envelope structure. The project researches on the theory and method of the coordinated design of the durability and functionality of the enclosure materials, the quality of energy-saving wall materials, super thermal insulation materials, hollow and vacuum glass, self explosion of toughened glass curtain wall, door and window performance, roof performance and the integration technology of the enclosure structure system. In addition to discussing the implementation of the project, the meeting also invited financial experts to conduct special training for the financial personnel of the participating units.
